The cleanest floss your mouth and microbiome will ever meet. Most floss is coated in Teflon. Ours isn't. To slide between teeth, conventional floss is usually coated in PTFE, the same compound behind nonstick pans and one of the PFAS compounds known as forever chemicals. Your gums are absorptive tissue, so what sits against them twice a day is worth paying attention to. Fygg starts over with two ingredients your body already knows. Pure silk gives a natural glide with no plastic and no coating. Bee propolis, the resin honeybees use to protect their hive, has been studied for antibacterial and gum-supporting properties, and a little reaches the gumline every time you floss. It cleans between teeth without disrupting the balance of your mouth. And because it is a natural protein fiber, it breaks down when you are finished instead of lingering as plastic waste. One spool lasts about two months of daily flossing. Developed by functional dentists Dr. Mark Burhenne and Dr. Staci Whitman.
