How to prepare

1. For a full box, bring 12 cups of salted water to a rolling boil.
2. Add the rice alternative and stir. Some foaming is normal.
3. Boil for 5–6 minutes, checking for your preferred texture.
4. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, rinse and serve.

For extra flavour, return to the pot with 1 tbsp olive oil or butter and stir over heat for 1 more minute. This rice alternative is boiled and drained like pasta.
